Carrie Lofty Biography

Carrie Lofty's work has been praised as "inventive" (Dear Author, "shattering" (Nights & Weekends), and "intelligent" (Smart Bitches). Her debut, WHAT A SCOUNDREL WANTS (Zebra: 12/08), is the hot, adventurous tale of Will Scarlet and his dangerous lady love. Romantic Times gave it four stars, saying: "The leading man will win readers' hearts as only a bad boy can. Lofty writes adventure romance like a born bard of old." The sequel, SCOUNDREL'S KISS (Zebra: 01/10), pits a Spanish warrior monk against the troubled English translator he's sworn to protect.

Born in California and raised in the Midwest, Carrie found the love of her life in England. She earned her BA in English and history from Bowling Green State University , and her master's in history from Ohio State University with a thesis on Old West legends. Now she writes fulltime, guides two precocious daughters, and manages the authors of Unusual Historicals(http://unusualhistoricals.blogspot.com), a blog she founded in 2006.
